Reception

We are looking for people who would like to work as part of a small team of volunteers to help a wide range of visitors get as much out of their visit as possible.

Your main duties are:

• Meeting and greeting
• Helping visitors by providing information about the rooms
• Security and light housekeeping
• Assisting with special events

Requirements:

• A nice smile when visitors walk through the door
• Good people skills - sensitive to visitors’ needs and relaxed talking to strangers
• An interest in history and our collections would be useful

To get you up to speed, we will provide an induction which includes a brief introduction to and tour of the museum and an explanation of how to carry out the role.
