CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING

What is Corporate Volunteering?

Corporate volunteering is when a company supports its employees to volunteer their time, skills, or expertise to help charities, community groups, or social causes.


It is usually organised or encouraged by the employer and may take place during working hours or through company-supported initiatives.


Corporate volunteering can include activities such as team volunteering days, skills-based support (e.g., marketing or IT advice), mentoring, or helping at community events.


For businesses, corporate volunteering helps strengthen community relationships, develop employee skills, and support social responsibility goals. For charities and community organisations, it provides valuable additional support, resources, and expertise.
