About The British Pilgrimage Trust CIO

The British Pilgrimage Trust is a faith-neutral charity that helps everyone to discover their own place in the British Pilgrimage tradition. Pilgrimage is an ancient practice with modern meaning. We exist to advance ‘Bring Your Own Beliefs‘ pilgrimage as a form of cultural heritage that promotes holistic wellbeing, for the public benefit. Observed by people from all cultures and religions throughout history, pilgrimage integrates physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits. Through self-discovery, pilgrims experience the cultivation of creativity, connection with cultural and spiritual heritage as well as nature and the land. Our guides help people try out pilgrimage on some of the best routes in Britain, and by doing so help raise funds for the charity.
