Summary
You will work closely with the wider staff team to provide person centred and solution focused support to people struggling with their mental health.Detailed description
Based at Wellbeing House, you will offer a therapeutic environment for people to take time out of their day to day lives to focus on their recovery, develop coping strategies and learn new skills. Staff deliver non-clinical interventions based on the "5 Ways to Wellbeing", an evidence based framework focusing on the following steps:-
Connect, Give, Learn, Take Notice and Get Active.
Examples of day to day tasks as a Wellbeing Practitioner include facilitating psycho-educational workshops, art sessions, cooking activities, signposting etc.
The service runs between 9am-6pm Tuesday-Friday, however volunteer hours are most needed between 10am-4pm on these days.
We ask for a minimum of 6 months commitment in volunteering.
