Summary

We are looking for people to assist with our Saturday performing arts morning classes. Please see description below-

Detailed description

Role: Saturday Performing Arts Teaching Assistant
Location:
Hours: Saturdays 9am-12Noon
Contract: Part-time / Term-time only
The Spotlight is on You!
Are you passionate about the arts and looking to inspire the next generation of performers? CIC Performing Arts is seeking vibrant and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our Saturday morning team.
This isn't your average desk job. You’ll be right in the thick of it—helping students find their voices, nail their choreography, and build the confidence that stays with them long after the curtain falls.
Your Role in the Production
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our Lead Practitioners across drama, dance, and singing sessions. Your day-to-day will include:
Supporting Students: Providing 1-on-1 or small group guidance to children (ages [e.g., 4-11 year olds) to help them master routines or scripts.
Energy Management: Keeping the momentum high and ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and—most importantly—having fun.
Logistics & Safety: Assisting with registration, transitions between classes, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for all.
Creative Input: While you’re there to assist, we love a proactive mind! Whether it’s helping with blocking a scene or suggesting a vocal warm-up, your creativity is welcome.
Who We’re Looking For
We need someone who is as dependable as they are charismatic. Ideally, you are:
Experienced or Training: You might be a performing arts student, a recent graduate, or someone with a background in youth work or maybe you just have a love for the theatre.
A "People Person": You can communicate effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff.
DBS Checked: (Or willing to undergo an enhanced check). Safety is our standing ovation.
Why Join CIC Performing Arts?
Community: Join a team of professional creatives who support one another and want to make a real difference in children's lives and in our community.
Development: Gain hands-on experience in arts education and workshop facilitation.
Impact: Watch your students grow from shy beginners to confident stars.
How to Apply
Ready to take center stage? Please send your CV and a brief "intro" note (or a 60-second video!) telling us why you’re the perfect for this role.
