Nature Tots is a wildlife/nature-themed session aimed at pre-school aged children and their adults. It is currently run at Crickely Hill (first Thursday of the month), Robinswood Hill (last Wednesday of the month), Forest of Dean, Coleford (third Tuesday of the month) and Coaley Peak (second Thurs of the month).
The sessions run from 10:00-11:30am and include a mix of stories, rhymes, trails, natural craft, and sensory play.
We are looking for help with any of the sessions, the more helpers the better!
Commitment would be monthly but of course, you are free to choose when you volunteer. Although the sessions run from 10-11:30 there is quite a bit of set up prep and pack down so, if possible, volunteers come at 9am and leave around 12.
We are looking for someone who has experience working with children, particularly early years/pre-school.
You will need to be willing to be DBS checked (we can help you with this).
Also, any volunteers who might not want to join the sessions but enjoy crafting/sewing/knitting/crochet and would like to create things for the sessions, please get in touch.
Tasks include: helping set up and clear away activities, reading stories, interacting with children and families, helping run singing and parachute games.
