Summary

Join our small team and help Gloucestershire Archives package and preserve fascinating unique documents in a supportive atmosphere.

Detailed description

Who: You will be part of a small team which will be led and supported by Kate O'Keefe, our Community Engagement Officer.

What: You will work together to provide protective packing for a large collection of sale particulars for Gloucestershire properties handled by Bruton Knowles estate agents, mainly during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Why: These documents are very popular with local and family history researchers as they contain lot of information about particular houses,in times gone by. They need bespoke packaging to give them the best chance of surviving many years into the future.

When & Where: The team will meet each Wednesday morning between 9.30 - 1.00 at the Heritage Hub, Alvin Street, Gloucester GL1 3DW. (Don't worry if you can't attend an entire session).
