The Ward Companion role is a service provided by volunteers who offer one-to-one companionship and support to patients during their stay on Thames Ward. As a Ward Companion you can expect to conduct activities such as…
- Reading or chatting to patients
- Playing games with patients
- Encouraging patients to take part in arts and crafts activities
- Providing company or reminiscing with patients
Thames Ward is a specialised 15-bed unit where our most complex patients present with physical rehabilitation, reablement, dementia or delirium needs.
