Job Title: Volunteer Event Coordinator


Job Summary:

Gloucestershire Carers Hub is seeking a dedicated and passionate Volunteer Event Coordinator to join our team. As a Volunteer Event Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of events to support and engage Carers in Gloucestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Carers and contribute to the success of our organisation.


Responsibilities:

- Assist in the planning and coordination of various events, including workshops, support groups, awareness campaigns, and get togethers

- Collaborate with the Events Team to develop event objectives, themes, and target audience.

- Source and secure venues, catering, and necessary equipment for events.

- Help Coordinate event logistics,

- Support the creation and distribution of event promotional materials.

- Liaise with volunteers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth event operations.

- Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event coordination.


Requirements:

- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering Carers in Gloucestershire.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Proven experience in event coordination or related roles is desirable but not mandatory.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of Gloucestershire's local community, resources, and services is an advantage.

- Understanding of the challenges faced by Carers and their families is preferred.
