Detailed description

Are you a skilled and passionate writer looking to make a difference? The Gloucestershire Carers Hub is seeking a volunteer content writer to help create engaging and informative content for Carers. As a content writer, you will play a vital role in raising awareness, providing valuable information, and sharing inspiring stories that will support and empower Carers in our community.


Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Carers Hub team to understand their content needs and objectives.

- Research and write articles, blog posts, guides, and other written materials on topics relevant to Carers.

- Create compelling and informative content that is easy to understand and accessible to a wide audience.

- Incorporate SEO principles to optimize content for search engines and increase visibility.

- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

- Conduct interviews with Carers, professionals, and experts to gather insights and personal stories.

-Cover events Carers day outs, Carers day, Carers week, Carers rights week, Volunteer week.

- Provide suggestions for content ideas and topics that will resonate with Carers.

- Adhere to deadlines and deliver high-quality content in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with the Carers Hub team to ensure that the content aligns with the organization's mission and goals.

- Stay up to date with the latest trends, research, and developments in the field of caregiving to inform your writing.


Qualifications:

- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

- Strong research abilities and the ability to gather information from reliable sources.

- Experience in writing for online platforms, including blogs and websites.

- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.

- Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by Carers.

- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality content.

- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

- Familiarity with the Gloucestershire community and its specific caregiving challenges (preferred but not required).
