Summary

Gloucester Tall Ships Festival is back- with its biggest music line-up ever in Gloucester Docks for 3 days 25-27 May 2024.

Detailed description

Your main responsibilities will be; supporting the festival gates, being the eyes and ears of the festival site, signposting to visitors, running surveys, and communicating with event staff to ensure the smooth running of the event.

Benefits of volunteering:

• You will receive a 3-day festival wristband when you sign up to a minimum of 2 shifts over the bank holiday weekend. This means that if you volunteer for the equivalent of one full day, you will get 2 days to enjoy the Festival free of charge as an audience member.

• You will receive refreshments during your shift and be able enjoy the food traders onsite in your break.

• You will receive a branded Festival T-Shirt to keep.

• You can enjoy the Festival’s music and entertainment. Volunteering may be busy at times, but there will be plenty to enjoy in your own time, as well as during your volunteer shift.

What we expect from you:

• To be a friendly face of the festival – to welcome audiences to Gloucester and ensure you are treating everybody with respect.

• To keep an open line of communication with Tall Ships management staff either via radio and/or WhatsApp.

• To complete induction training before your first shift onsite. There will be an information pack to read and training in advance of the festival, on Friday 24th May evening, timing tbc.

To apply, please fill in the application form with your details. Our Volunteer Coordinator will then follow up with a phone call with you to discuss arrangements.
