Summary
Join us for our annual pond restoration session - cutting and removing vegetation from bankside and digging reed from the pond.Detailed description
We cut and remove the bankside vegetation annually to boost biodiversity by removing nutrients and increasing the competition between plant species. We will also be digging and removing reeds and to prevent them taking over the pond. The material is then used to boost the pond bank strength. Please wear wellies if you would like to dig the pond, but there is plenty of work to be done on 'dry land' too. Meet on Laxton Road to collect tools or find us in the pond.
