Detailed description
Volunteer Trustees – HR, Fundraising or Campaigning
Do you want to help your local community where you live, work or study and gain valuable skills as well as making sure they get the advice they need now and in the future?
We are seeking a number of new Trustees to join our Board and are specifically looking for people with related experience and background in HR, Fundraising and Campaigning.
We particularly welcome applications from black and ethnic minority candidates, disabled candidates, people from under-represented and marginalised groups and those with lived experience of poverty and living on a low income. We are also keen to encourage applications from younger members of the community and those who have accessed Citizen Advice services. Previous Board experience is not required as training will be provided.
Board meetings are quarterly and may be online via Teams, or in person, in either Cirencester or Stroud, plus attending the AGM and a one-day strategic planning meeting. The total time commitment overall is approximately one day per month. Trustees are also encouraged to join a sub-committee and participate in other projects which would involve some additional time on occasions.
Deadline: 16th September 2024
About Citizens Advice Stroud & Cotswold Districts
We provide free, confidential, and impartial advice to anyone who needs it, to help them resolve the problems they face, and we use the intelligence we gather to lobby and influence social policy makers, both locally and nationally. As a local, independent charity, we are members of a national network which collectively is the Citizens Advice Service.
