Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic gardener to help maintain our allotment area.

Detailed description

We believe that everyone can lead a fulfilling and fun life. We have cared for people with disabilities with warmth and compassion since 1989, supporting them to live the life they choose.

Our allotment is situated on the Orchard Trust smallholding in Lydbrook. It has rasied beds, ground level beds and green house areas.

We grow a mixture of fruits and vegetables which we sell to the local community and also use in our Day Service kitchen.

The allotment provides not only fresh produce but also meaningful activities for our clients at Day Services.

About The Orchard Trust

We believe that everyone can lead a fulfilling and fun life. We have cared for people with disabilities with warmth and compassion since 1989, supporting them to live the life they choose.
We look after ourselves, each other, our places and the environment. Through listening to each other and paying attention when someone has something they want to say we support the development of self respect and feelings of worth and appreciation. We recognise one another for the people we are, understanding and accepting preferences and beliefs to ensure a personalised care and support.

We value the vast range of experience, skill and knowledge our Volunteers bring to the Orchard Trust
They enrich the lives of the people we support in many ways, including assisting with activities, helping with access to the community and giving time on our smallholding and gardens.
