Detailed description
Seren’s Wish Charity is looking for committed HAF Volunteers to support our Holiday Activities and Food programme for children during school holidays.
This is a seasonal role, and for the right person, there may be opportunities to move into paid casual‑worker shifts as the programme grows.
Our mission is to provide a calm, welcoming space where children can enjoy activities, play, and a hot meal in a safe, supportive environment.
As a HAF Volunteer, you’ll help set up and run sessions, welcome children, assist with serving food, support those who may need extra reassurance, and help keep the space organised and running smoothly. Your steady presence makes a real impact—helping children feel safe, included, and able to enjoy their time with us throughout the holidays. If you’re patient, friendly, and able to commit to regular seasonal sessions, we’d love to talk about you joining the team.

Inspired by a 7‑year‑old girl’s wish that every child should have a present at Christmas, we have grown into a year‑round charity supporting people of all ages who are struggling with poor mental health, social isolation, and the effects of poverty. With over 2,400 active supporters and more than 1,500 sacks of gifts delivered, we are proud to be a trusted local charity making a practical difference.
