Friends of NSPCC Cheltenham are looking for new members to help organise local events to raise awareness & vital funds to keep children safe in Gloucestershire!

We are a small, passionate team of NSPCC volunteers who organise local events to raise awareness of, and vital funds for, our services for children, such as Childline. We’re looking for people to join our friendly team, have some fun and make a difference for children in Cheltenham and across the UK.

We run activities such as craft sessions, Grandparents Day, and a Swap Shop. Our upcoming events are Childhood Day on Saturday 14th June in Cheltenham town centre, a ‘Back to School’ session for parents in September, and then Christmas!

Together we come up with ideas, promote our events locally and on social media, organise fun activities, and be there to chat to local families. If you can't commit regularly but are happy to be called upon every now and again, that’s great too!

About NSPCC

The NSPCC's Speak out Stay safe programme is a safeguarding programme for children aged 5 to 11. It is available to all primary schools in the UK and Channel Islands. It helps children understand:

- abuse in all its forms and how to recognise the signs of abuse
- that abuse is never a child’s fault and they have the right to be safe
- where to get help and the sources of help available to them, including our Childline service.
