Langley Trust has an exciting volunteer opportunity for a patient, friendly and flexible individual to join us in the role of Volunteer Minibus Driver / Chaperone at our housing and resettlement services where we support clients with multiple needs.

Have you a few hours a week to help enrich the lives of our clients through driving and escorting them in our project minibus on outings, day trips, shopping trips, doctors and other appointments. Not only will you support the clients practically with transport, but you will also be the friendly face on their trips out into the community. If you enjoy spending time helping others and love been out and about behind the wheel, then this is the role for you!

Please note - You will need a full clean driving licence with category D1 and be under 70 year of age to drive our minibus

Working under the direction of Service Manager and other members of the staff team, you will:

1.    Drive clients to outings in the community such as on shopping trips, day trips and to other activities

2.    To drive clients to official appointments such as to the doctors and other professional appointments. This will usually be with a staff member, but occasionally you may be asked to escort / chaperone the client.

3.    Ensure that the minibus is kept clean and tidy and in a good state of repair, reporting any maintenance issues to the Management Team.

Please note: Applications must be over 18 or over.
