Evenings supporting the front of house team for various shows at the theatre.Detailed description
About the role
- Your duties would include preparing the coffee and setting up the hot drinks area, checking the toilets are clean and have adequate supplies.
- You would have responsibility as a fire warden under the supervision of the Duty Manger.
- At 7pm when the doors open, you may or may not be required to sell programmes for the hirer.
- During the interval you would sell tea, coffee, hot chocolate and ice creams. A float is always provided and any money taken would then be added to the main bar takings.
- At the end of the show, you would be required to wash up and clear and clean the auditorium of any items left by the audience.
- Once the show has started and after the interval you would carry out any tasks required but would have time to chat and get to know the other front of house volunteers.

About Kings Theatre
The Kings Theatre is run solely by volunteers. We have a variety of theatrical company's/groups that hire the theatre on a regular basis, from the University of Gloucester to local amateur theatre groups to tribute bands such at Elvis, Abba and Robbie Williams.
When the theatre is in use our front of house area requires one person to run the box office, two people to sell programmes (if required) and to serve teas, coffees etc at the beginning and during the interval and finally two people to run our bar. At the end of the show we all muck in to clear up ready for the next show.
Training will be provided for all of these roles. We use Ticketsource for our ticket sales and Tabology for our bar sales, so some computer knowledge would be useful.
We have a great group of volunteers already at Kings but we it would fantastic to have some new people on board! Our volunteers age from 16 through to 78, so please come along and join us!
