About the Role
As an Events and Fundraising Volunteer for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC), you'll be the face of the charity at events across our region—raising vital funds, promoting awareness, and engaging with the public. Whether you’re running a stall at a local fete, selling merchandise, or collecting donations at a show, you’ll be playing a vital role in supporting our lifesaving service. This is a fun and sociable volunteering opportunity that suits anyone who enjoys being out in the community, chatting with people, and getting involved in local events.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend events, fetes, shows, and fundraising stalls across the region
- Sell GWAAC merchandise and collect cash or contactless donations
- Chat with members of the public about GWAAC’s work and impact
- Set up and pack down event materials and merchandise
- Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff on the day
- Represent GWAAC in a friendly, welcoming, and professional way
Requirements
- Enthusiastic and confident engaging with the public
- Reliable and happy to work as part of a team
- Organised and willing to help with event setup and pack-down
- Comfortable handling money and using card readers (training provided)
- A passion for GWAAC’s work and a desire to make a difference
- Access to transport is helpful but not essential
