Careers champions at work– We are looking for carers champions in all organisations around Gloucestershire.

Detailed description

Careers champions at work– We are looking for carers champions in all organisations around Gloucestershire. We are looking volunteers who could coordinate activities with carers in their work place, such as a coffee break together and other activities. As well as champion careers at work we would love to hear ways you could volunteer to champion carers.


  • The ideal person for this role:  
  • Passionate about issues unpaid carers face
  • Clear spoken communication skills 
  • Excellent manner and people skills 
  • Confidence in communicating in person 
  • Pleasant and welcoming manner 
  • Be comfortable volunteering within a group or by yourself 
  • Being able to use your own initiative but be able to ask for help when you need it 
  • Strong organisational skills 
  • Good timekeeping skills 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

We pride ourselves on providing a person centred approach to any Carer who registers or is referred to us. Our experienced and friendly local team are here for you to ensure you have the support, information and time to think about you.

If you register with the Carers Hub you will have access to free information, guidance, support, to empower you in your caring role. This could help you to meet other carers and to interact with others in a safe space.
