We're looking for a dedicated volunteer to join our fun and friendly team at our Stonehouse Allotment.
Working alongside our participants and experienced volunteers, you'll help support adults with learning disabilities to learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the many benefits of gardening.
This is a rewarding and fun role, and in exchange for your time we offer:
- Training to enable you to work with adults with learning disabilities.
- Ongoing support from the Building Circles team.
- Opportunities to participate in a range of volunteer social activities.
- Reimbursement of expenses such as travel costs up to £20.
Our Allotment Group runs on Wednesdays from 09.45am-11.45am. Gardening experience would be an advantage. There is some flexibility if you are unable to commit to every Wednesday.

Our Social Buddies, Gig Buddies and Football Buddies programmes connect adults with learning disabilities to local volunteers. Our Buddies then go out into the community to do things they enjoy - together. Our volunteers also support our other groups, such as our Allotment Groups and Art Group. We aim to enable adults with learning disabilities to live a more meaningful life, and volunteers are at the heart of what we do. In exchange for your volunteering time, we offer training and ongoing support, as well as reimbursement of expenses and opportunities to join our team at a range of social events.
