We’re a newly registered mental health charity in Cheltenham looking for an PR & Marketing Volunteer. Use your skills, to make a real difference!

Detailed description

About us:

Art for All Mental Health is an Arts and Mental Health Charity. We deliver therapeutic art classes to adults with a mental health condition in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas of Gloucestershire.

We aim to help people achieve sustained mental well-being through the practice of being creative.

We are looking for a PR & Marketing Volunteer to help us build a strong online presence to promote our aim. You’ll manage our website as well as grow our social media presence and generate awareness - and funding opportunities - through your creative marketing efforts.

About the Role: Key Responsibilities:

  • Website: Manage our website to ensure it acts as a “shop window”, including creating content which communicates our aim, events, and services
  • Social Media: Manage and grow our social media accounts
  • Fundraising: Help us create and implement strategies for fundraising and identifying new partnership opportunities
  • Creative Content: Design promo materials such as posters/flyers and cotent for events or campaigns, aligned with our brand and messaging
  • PR & Media: Draft and distribute press releases, pitch stories and build relationships with media to raise awareness of our charity’s work in the community
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track engagement, website traffic, and other metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and tell us what’s working/what else we need to do

About you: skills and experience:

We are looking for someone with a broad marketing skillset, including:

  • Hands on managing/updating websites and social media, including content creation, scheduling and know what and how to raise engagement
  • Creating visually appealing promo materials, including posters/leaflets and digital assets (experience with tools like Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator is a plus).
  • Strong writing skills for creating engaging and clear content for websites, social media, blogs, and press releases
  • An interest in developing fundraising/income generating strategies or build partnerships with businesses, influencers, or other organisations
  • Happy to roll your sleeves up and get creative to get-things-done; our resources are limited so you’ll make the most of what we’ve got
  • Passion to make a difference, particularly for people who may face additional barriers.

Why Join Us?

·      This is an ideal opportunity to build your portfolio with real-world PR & marketing experience from the ground up. We’re growing and have just become a new charity, registered with the Charity Commission, so it’s an exciting and rewarding time to join us and sprinkle your creative magic!

·      Be part of a charity that makes a real difference within our community using art therapeutically to manage and improve mental health and wellbeing
