 45th Cheltenham (Bethesda) Scout Group

Bethesda Scout Group was first formed in 1925 and has offered Scouting continuously ever since. We are a popular and thriving Scout Group with over 100 young people attending Beavers, Cubs and Scouts each week. Our adult team of 20 volunteers provide a full range of life changing skills and activities for our young people. Primarily serving the south Cheltenham area, we are based at Bethesda Methodist Church, Great Norwood Street, Cheltenham.

We are currently seeking a

GROUP LEAD VOLUNTEER

The Group are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to manage and support the Scout Group and its leaders to ensure it runs effectively and that Scouting within the Group develops in line with the Scout Association strategy.

Skills required for the role include providing direction, working with adult volunteers, achieving results, enabling change, using resources and managing your time along with personal skills – you do not need a scout background for this role.

You will be given full support – we provide an induction, lots of online references and resources and easy access learning.

This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in supporting our scout group by working with adults and having some contact with young people. Being part of scouting is great fun and being part of it can be one of the most rewarding things you can do, plus it also looks great on your CV!

If this might be for you and you would like further information, please contact us.
