With hundreds of volunteers involved each year, there are many exciting ways to get involved with us, helping to deliver a high-quality music festival.
Detailed description
The Three Choirs Festival will return to Gloucester in July - August 2026. Each year, our team of dedicated volunteers plays a crucial role in the running of the festival. If you are enthusiastic, hard-working and would love to be part of a world-class music festival with like-minded people, you might be just who we're looking for.
With hundreds of volunteers involved each year, there are many exciting ways to get involved, working alongside our professional team to deliver a high-quality festival experience. Whether you want to support a festival you love, are looking to start a career in arts administration, event management or stage production, or are simply passionate about music, we can provide you with valuable experience in all aspects of running a festival.
Volunteering can be flexible around your schedule, and any amount of time you can give will be hugely appreciated. Volunteer roles can often be tailored to your own interests and may include a variety of different tasks across different locations. Perks such as free standby tickets for concerts are also available.
Once you have submitted the short application form we will be in touch regularly with updates about plans and timelines for the festival. You will need to be available for induction and training before the festival, but this can be adjusted to your availability.
Please note that unfortunately we cannot accept applications from anyone under the age of 16.

About Three Choirs Festival
Our organisation gives expression for every voice through extraordinary music-making.
The Three Choirs Festival is a week-long programme of world-class music making, featuring choral and orchestral concerts, solo and chamber music recitals, talks, cathedral services, theatre, exhibitions, and walks, rotating each summer between the beautiful English cathedral cities of Gloucester, Hereford, and Worcester. One of the elements which makes the festival so special is the Festival Chorus, which is made up of auditioned singers from the local area trained by professional directors, meaning that the Chorus both sings to a high standard and is a real part of the community. Three Choirs is thought to be the longest-standing classical music festival in the world and celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2015.
The central and vital role played by our volunteers gives the Three Choirs Festival a character and an atmosphere like none other. It is widely recognised for its friendly welcome, its historic appeal, and the clear sense that, perhaps more than any other classical festival, it truly belongs to its audience.
