Summary

We are looking for a lead volunteer to facilitate monthly meetings which are 2 hours, plus find speakers and help with FB page.

Detailed description

Fantastic opportunity to join a well established support group in the FOD. There will be some free training from Diabetes UK to aid you and some work in between meetings for planning, a group email and helping with the FB page posts. Held the first Tuesday of each month the meetings begin at 7pm and depending on content end around 8.45pm. Arrival by 6.45 to enter building and set up. There are regular attendees and at most we have welcomed 24 people but numbers can fluctuate depending on time of year etc. We are lucky to have the premises in Cinderford which are given to us free of charge and one of the trustees opens up for us and puts the kettle on. We ask for donations only and we run as a community group so there are no formalities. Some knowledge of Diabetes would be useful but most important is a engaging friendly personality. Lovely group of people each month and very worthwhile opportunity to keep this group going.
