FilmChelt is looking for volunteers who can help the core operations team to deliver this year's film festival and we were hoping you and your (supporters, team, students etc) might be interested.
FilmChelt is a not-for-profit charity and this year's festival will be running from Friday, 30 Oct to Sunday, 08 Nov inclusively. Over these 10 days, there will be roughly 50 screenings, taking place in two central Cheltenham venues.
Contact us to register their interest and to pass on their mobile numbers as we'll need to add them to our volunteer groups on email and WhatsApp. We'd love to hear what you do and, if you've got technical experience, do let us know - we may ask you to put any skills to good use!
Finally, we'll be running a couple of informal briefing sessions to step through what's needed, to explain the ticketing app we'll all be using and to answer any questions. It'll also give everyone a chance to meet in advance and help make the experience that much more sociable and rewarding - well, we certainly hope so!
Speaking of rewards, as we're a charity, we can only pay our helpers in kind but for cinema lovers it will give them the chance to see some of this year's newest releases as well as a great selection of the big films creating a buzz on the awards
