About the role
At YG, we believe you guys know better than anyone what young people need and want. Whether that's what type of support YG should be offering or what is missing for young people in our community. Youth Community Group (YCG) provides an opportunity for young people to get together and make a change, get your voice heard, make a difference in your community and have some fun along the way.
The group meets fortnightly on a Wednesday from 4 pm - 5 pm.
As a group, we look at issues and projects that interest us or are something we feel strongly about, whether that's campaigning on an issue or raising money for a charity.
We also work closely with the staff at YG to help the charity make decisions about things like staff recruitment or new projects they are planning.

- Meetings fortnightly at YG's Old Dock Office.

YG supports young people who are facing some very difficult times; whether it be a disruptive home life, caring for a family member or coping with a mental health issue. Young people turn to us for help and we offer them practical ways to find confidence and develop the skills they need to get on track and to move into a job, education or training.
YG’s vision is for young people to have the confidence motivation and skills to improve their lives. We work to achieve this vision by creating opportunities that educate, inform and inspire.
