We are looking for someone to update and if need be write new policies in line with our Charity and its needs for the Community.

We’re looking for a thoughtful and organised volunteer to help us write and update the policies that guide how we run our facilities. If you’re good with words and like things to be clear and well-structured, this is a great way to support your community behind the scenes.

Key Tasks:

  • Draft and review policies (e.g. safeguarding, health & safety, bookings, AI usage)
  • Make sure documents are clear, up to date, and easy to follow
  • Work with the committee to agree updates or new policies as needed
  • Keep electronic versions organised and accessible
  • Use templates or examples (we’ll provide these) to make the job easier

Time Commitment:

Flexible – occasional hours as needed throughout the year with possible attendance at Management Committee meetings if Policies need to be on the agenda.

What you’ll need:

  • A clear, logical approach
  • Experience in policy writing although help and guidance can be gained through the Charity Commission and our supporting bodies GRCC & ACRE

This opportunity would suit a retiree with a Policy Writing background or someone who would like to follow a career in Policy's and would like to use this position to add as experience on a CV.

Your support will help us provide a safe, welcoming space for everyone in the community.
