To take minutes of Management Committee meetings and the odd extra meeting if required, and distribute them for the following meeting.

We’re looking for a helpful and organised volunteers from the village of Whitminster to support our committee by taking meeting minutes. If you enjoy writing things up clearly and can spare a little time, this is a great way to get involved and make a difference in your community.

Key Tasks:

  • Attend committee meetings (usually once every 2 months)
  • Take clear and accurate notes during meetings
  • Type up the minutes and share them with the committee
  • Help keep track of decisions and actions agreed at meetings
  • Keep copies of meeting minutes organised and accessible in the minute book.

Time Commitment:

Around 2–3 hours per meeting, including time to write up the minutes.

What you’ll need:

  • Good listening and writing skills
  • Comfortable using email and basic word processing
  • Reliable and able to maintain confidentiality when needed


This opportunity would suit a retiree with a Secretarial/administration background or someone who would like to follow a career in Administration and would like to use this position to add as experience on a CV.
