To ensure the Charity is compliant with Health and Safety obligations required to operate.
We’re looking for a practical and community-minded volunteer to help us stay on top of health and safety at our village facilities. This is a flexible role, ideal for someone with a good eye for detail and a caring approach.
Key Tasks:
- Carry out weekly walk-round checks of the hall, pavilion, and playing field
- Identify and report any hazards or maintenance issues, not alreay picked up by the Caretaker.
- Help keep risk assessments up to date
- Advise the committee on simple steps to keep users safe
- Assist with keeping safety records and signage current
Time Commitment:
Flexible – usually 1–2 hours per week, plus 2 hours every 6 weeks to report to the Management Committee meeting with occasional communications via email or other digital media.
What you’ll need:
- A sensible, safety-conscious mindset
- Good communication skills
This opportunity would suit a retiree with a Health and Safety background or someone who would like to follow a career in Health & Safety and would like to use this position to add as experience on a CV.
