Caretaker/Keyholder

We’re looking for 3 friendly, reliable volunteers to help care for our much-loved village Hall, Pavilion and Playing field. This flexible role is perfect for someone practical who enjoys being part of the community and doesn't mind getting stuck in.

What we would like you to do - Village Hall and Pavilion sites:

• Opening and locking up the hall and Pavilion for the non-regular bookings
• Carry out simple tasks like simple repairs, and reporting issues to the Chairperson
• Taking in deliveries
• Litter pick
• Any other duties that may involve moving equipment etc around sites.
• Keeping log of Mandatory Electrical Safety Checks, PAT Testing, Gas Safety Checks and booking them in - shared with voluntary Health & Safety Officer.

Playing Field

• Check fencing and site for any damages - report issues to the Chairperson
• Litter pick

Time needed:

Just a few hours a week, depending on what’s happening at the 3 sites.

What we’re looking for:

• Hands-on, practical person
• Friendly, dependable and community-minded
• Able to manage light physical tasks
• Can suit retirees looking for something to do or someone looking to add volunteering or caretaking to their CV's for experience.
