Summary

We opened our community cafe in February and now need some support for a variety of catering tasks particularly during the busy lunchtime period.

Detailed description

To support the cafe manager in the daily operation of the Cafe by: 

· Being courteous and welcoming to customers. 

· Taking customers’ orders, serving hot drinks and snacks. 

· Taking prepared meals to customers 

· Clearing tables and wiping them down between customers 

· Washing dishes and stacking and emptying dishwasher 

· Ensuring food prep areas are clean and tidy 

· Preparing side salads and any other food tasks requested by Cafe Manager 

Carry out daily cleaning tasks on cleaning rota as required 

At the end of shift: 

· Stacking chairs on tables 

· Sweeping and washing floors 

· Emptying bins 

Any other reasonable tasks requested by the cafe manager. 

 

Health and Hygiene regulations must be always adhered to. If unsure of anything, please ask the cafe manager for any advice and guidance. Hair must be tied up and food gloves must be always worn when handling food. 

 

Support and training will be given. A staff uniform is available .

Getting there

The new cafe is on the ground floor of the Hesters Way Community Resource Centre and is fully accessible. There is a local bus services and car park at the rear of the building
