We're looking for physically fit volunteers to assist with manual handling and stock presentation at our furniture reuse charity shop.
Warehouse Assistant
We're looking for physically fit volunteers to assist with manual handling and stock presentation at our community furniture reuse project. No computer skills needed. Join our friendly team today!
Volunteering shifts available most days during opening hours (Mon to Fri 9-4:30, Sat 9-4 and Sun 11-3)
Main duties are:
- Interacting with customers in a polite and friendly way
- Assisting with stock presentation and pricing
- Physically moving and assembling furniture in the shop
- Help load and unload the vans
- Assisting customers to load items into their vehicle
- Keeping all working areas tidy, safe and presentable
- Cleaning items for sale (e.g. hoover & steam clean mattresses)
- Making sure manual handling/health and safety processes are followed
