Reclaim: Sales Assistant

We’re looking for volunteers to help with sales and bookings. This role will mostly be seated with some gentle walking around the shop floor. No manual handling is required. Ability to independently operate a till and take card payments is required once trained. Good people skills and ability to take accurate telephone messages and manage bookings is essential.

Volunteering shifts available most days during opening hours (Mon to Fri 9-4:30, Sat 9-4 & Sun 11-3) 

Main duties are:

• Operating the till and card machine
• Interacting with customers in a polite and friendly way
• Assisting manager with stock presentation and pricing
• Answering the phone, taking messages and booking deliveries & collections
• Responding to requests to donate furniture (advise what items we can take, where we can collect from, fire labels etc…)
• Checking the answer phone messages
• Keeping all working areas tidy and presentable
• Possibly assist manager with email queries if you are computer confident
