Fundraising Trustee

Purpose: To lead on developing and supporting Vision 21’s fundraising strategy, ensuring the charity has the resources needed to deliver its mission.

Key Responsibilities:

· Work with staff and trustees to develop a sustainable fundraising plan.

· Identify and pursue funding opportunities from grants, trusts, corporate partnerships, and individual giving.

· Support the development of fundraising campaigns and events.

· Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding bodies.

· Ensure fundraising activities comply with relevant legislation and ethical standards.

· Monitor fundraising performance and report progress to the Board.

Person Specification:

· Experience in fundraising, business development, or income generation.

· Knowledge of grant applications, donor relations, or sponsorship management.

· Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

· Creative and strategic approach to resource development.

· Passion for sustainability and community engagement.

Our Work

Vision 21 delivers a range of projects and initiatives, including:

· Community Recycling and Reuse: Supporting waste reduction through Reclaim furniture project, repair cafés, Library of Things, recycling schemes, and upcycling initiatives.

· Sustainability Education: Providing workshops, talks, and resources to schools, businesses, and community groups.

· Practical Climate Action: Empowering people to take action, through events, group support and volunteering.

· Local Food and Growing Projects: Encouraging sustainable food systems through community gardens and local food networks.

· Partnership and Advocacy: Working with local authorities, businesses, and other charities to influence sustainable policy and practice.
