About Vale of Berkeley Railway Charitable Trust
We're bringing heritage trains back to Sharpness, to tell the story of its railway, docks and people by creating a working museum that enriches the local community and beyond.
Our heritage centre at Oldminster Sidings, next to Sharpness Docks, is much more than a base for our trains. It’s where volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities come together to share skills, companionship and a great team spirit. Embedded in the heart of the community, we enjoy the encouragement of our MP, councillors, and local organisations and businesses.
With regular working days on site plus plenty of opportunities for volunteers to contribute from home, we offer you the chance to progress and shape our exciting project.
