Help us develop and implement our fundraising strategy for an exciting heritage and educational project.Detailed description
We are looking for someone who can develop our strategy for raising funds for our project to build a heritage restoration and educational facility at Oldminster Sidings, near Sharpness Docks and just off the A38.
Ideally you should have previous experience in fundraising for the heritage sector, but what we're looking for most is freesh, appealing and practical ideas. That means helping us develop and implement an action plan to raise funds and identifying potential sources of funding. They could be corporate sponsorship, grants from trusts or foundations as well as online-giving and community fund raising.
We are a friendly and enthusiastic 100% volunteer group, who would your skills to set us on the right (railway) track.
About Vale of Berkeley Railway Charitable Trust
We're bringing heritage trains back to Sharpness, to tell the story of its railway, docks and people by creating a working museum that enriches the local community and beyond.
Our heritage centre at Oldminster Sidings, next to Sharpness Docks, is much more than a base for our trains. It’s where volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities come together to share skills, companionship and a great team spirit. Embedded in the heart of the community, we enjoy the encouragement of our MP, councillors, and local organisations and businesses.
With regular working days on site plus plenty of opportunities for volunteers to contribute from home, we offer you the chance to progress and shape our exciting project.
