We are after volunteers to come in to our lovely primary school and support children with reading on a 1-1 basis who unfortunately, don't get to read at home.
Your main responsibility would be to support children with 1-1 reading. This would be directed by the class teachers.
You would receive some basic training before starting.
Unfortunately not every child gets to read at home and reading regularly can make such a difference to a child.
Ideally, we would like volunteers to commit to an afternoon a week or more if you are able to. Our afternoons are 1pm - 3.15pm.
Helping young children read can be such a rewarding experience. You would be making a difference to young people's lives.
