Are you organised, with an eye for detail, and love a good rummage? We’re looking for volunteers to sort donated items at our rescue centre ready for our shop

What we’re looking for: An organised volunteer with an eye for detail to help sort donations dropped off at our rescue centre in Whitminster ready to be transported to our Stroud shop for sale.

An eye for detail is helpful when sorting to pick out good quality items to sell and identify those to be disposed of. A tidy working manner, able to pack items neatly and keep your working area clean is essential. There will be some moving of stock, so you will need to be comfortable handling boxes or bags of donations, which can be heavy or bulky, safely.

Full training in how to sort, identify, and pack donated items will be provided.

When you can help: Ideally a morning or afternoon one day a week. This role will be based at our rescue centre in Whitminster, which is staffed seven days a week so we can be flexible with times to suit you.

What we can offer you:

    • An induction, ongoing support, and training
    • An opportunity to meet new people and be part of a friendly team
    • Gain experience, learn new skills, and make a difference to animals in your community
    • A reference for studying or employment
    • A dedicated volunteer coordinator for check ins and support
