Fortnightly helper required for our Cheltenham Wellbeing Group (alternate Tuesday at 13:45 to 15:45.
ReConnect supports people affected by Stroke and Aphasia, to connect with each other and build confidence and self-esteem.
Our Wellbeing After Stroke Group is a friendly group offering wellness activities for stroke survivors, families, and carers using the NHS 5 Steps to Mental Wellbeing.
Connect: Build strong relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and your community to foster a sense of belonging.
Be active: Find a physical activity you enjoy that suits your mobility and fitness, such as walking, dancing, or gardening.
Keep learning: Try something new, relearn an old hobby, or fix something to keep your brain engaged and boost confidence.
Give to others: Do small acts of kindness, thank someone, or volunteer to improve your emotional connection to others.
Take notice: Pay attention to the present moment, your surroundings, and your feelings to help appreciate what matt
It provides a warm, welcoming space to support mental and physical well-being, build coping skills, and improve quality of life in a gentle, supportive environment.
As a Group Enabler, you will help the Group Leader to ensure everyone feels comfortable in the group and provide admin support such as maintaining the register and organising refreshments
Application Process:
To apply, please express your interest providing a contact number. Once we have received your application, references and DBS check we will arrange a time for your training and match you with a person.

About ReConnect Gloucestershire CIC
ReConnect Glos, has a particular focus on the recovery journey of people following a stroke and runs a stroke befriending service plus 12 stroke and general interest groups across Gloucestershire. This regular social interaction and connection with someone who understands, can help to build confidence, self-esteem and structure amongst many other positive outcomes. While you do not need to have had a stroke yourself, a commitment to this area is important.
