Come & join us in the Cheltenham Parkinson's Branch as a committee volunteer! We are looking for people to help us make a difference locally for people.

Parkinson's UK local groups offer friendship, support, and numerous activities for people affected by Parkinson's.

In Cheltenham, the friendly group is a core part of the local Parkinson's community. As a committee volunteer you'll help to make decisions and offer practical help to enrich the local group offer to people affected by Parkinson's.

You could have a hand in arranging activities too, whether it's exercise, or a chance for friends and family of those living with Parkinson's to meet - and all activities are open to you too. It all depends on what you'd like to do and where your skills and interests are.

The social group meets on the Last Tuesday afternoon of each month, but many of our volunteers undertake most of their role from home - at a time that suits you. There are monthly committee meetings in before or after the social meeting as well.

If you enjoy making a difference in a community, are people-focused and motivated this is the role for you!

The role is flexible, offers expenses & training as needed. We'll ask you to complete an online form on the Parkinson's UK website & there is a short comprehensive online induction process, so no previous experience of Parkinson's is needed.
