Volunteer Admin help needed
Do you want to help vulnerable women?
HMP Eastwood Park Chaplaincy needs admin help for their new pre-release mentoring programme ‘Making Connections’. The Programme is a great success, proven to reduce the number of women who re-offend. Volunteer mentors meet prisoners weekly for six months before their release to help them plan, and connect them with outside mentors and other support. Support is provided for people of all faiths and none.
The admin work includes supporting the mentors by keeping a small spreadsheet up to date, typing emails, copying materials, and arranging appointments. Basic familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook is essential, training in prison systems will be given.
Time: 0.5 days per week
HMP Eastwood Park is a women’s prison just off the M5 near Thornbury.
