Helping with cooking and serving food, setting up and packing away, publicity, music performance stage management and other aspects these monthly evenings.

Redbrook Family Friendly Music Nights operate once a month for about 8 months of the year, on Saturdays from 5.30 to 7.30 pm. This is not a specifically religious activity only a few of the leaders, performers and helpers have any church affiliation. The evenings are designed as a safe and friendly place for parents and carers with younger children to come, enjoy and share music and food. The Kangaroo Community choir often perform with some members of the Kingfisher's chorus, individuals and small ensembles sing and play instruments. The children are free to play and to listen. It is a place of welcome, belonging, relaxation and creativity, giving a chance for parents and carers to attend something together with their children, for young children to experience live music (and to have the chance to sing, or play if they want to). The Music is mostly folk or world music, but soul, classical, jazz and many other styles can sometime be heard. Food includes vegan and vegetarian options and where possible uses home grown or food surplus ingredients. We set up the church cafe style with tables and chairs, and fairy lights.
