Summary

Our trustees are currently seeking a corporate or commercial lawyer to join the Board to provide legal expertise on a range of issues.

Detailed description

Our trustees act as ambassadors and champions for Longfield, contributing to the overall leadership of the charity and ensuring the Board fulfils its governance responsibilities.

The successful candidates will be highly motivated, with significant legal expertise and must be passionate about improving the lives of adults with life-limiting conditions and providing support for their families and carers.

The roles are voluntary and will require a mix of physical and virtual presence at meetings, plus email and phone contact, totalling around two days per month.

To apply, please send your CV or information on your background and experience to Michelle Thompson. If you would like to speak to someone to find out more about being a trustee, please include this request in your email.

About Longfield Hospice

Longfield is a community hospice charity, in a beautiful setting near Stroud. We believe that everyone touched by a life-limiting illness in Gloucestershire should benefit from free hospice care. We support people to live well after diagnosis through a range of well being services for them and their loved ones and, when the time comes, we provide hospice at home care, enabling them to have the choice of dying in the comfort of their own home.
