Summary

We are looking for a part-time studio assistant to join the team in our creative community project, based in Stroud

Detailed description

Information about Imagine Imagine Therapeutic Arts is a community based project that has been running for over 14 years. Currently run by Hisako Simon, Laura Ridolfi and Robin James, Imagine offers a safe space where, through art, people can turn their life crisis into an opportunity for self-renewal and change. Interested in the spiritual dimension of mental and physical health and in how the artistic practice can influence them, we work alongside the members in the shared studio space, thus creating a unique artistic-therapeutic community. Our aim is to facilitate each member’s access to their own creative potential. We provide a supportive and inspiring environment where personal creativity is cultivated and developed within a social context, through both open, as well as structured, theme-based groups for adults and young people.

During the sessions, you will be able to pursue your own artistic process. The person needs to have experience with different media and art materials, and good communication skills. Within this role, there would be the opportunity to get involved in creating Imagine's printed programme, the newsletter, and updating the website. About Imagine Therapeutic Arts

Right in the heart of Stroud’s mill heritage, between the canal and the river, Imagine Therapeutic Arts has developed further as a community project within the premises of Fromehall Mill.

For over 12 years we have been offering an accessible and supportive studio space in which members can explore and develop their creativity within a social environment. Thanks to the support we have received from the Association for the Promotion of Artistic Therapy and the Barnwood Trust the studios are fully accessible for people with limited mobility.
