Pockett's Orchard is a traditional orchard undergoing restoration.
This beautiful orchard has been in this location for approximately 200 years, but little or no active management for decades meant that this orchard was close to being lost forever.
As part of the Cotswold Canals Connected project volunteers are now learning new orchard management skills and in the process of transforming this place into a functioning traditional orchard once more.
Join our friendly, knowledgeable team and be a part of the creation of this wonderful new reserve. The site is accessible via a 800m walk over boggy uneven ground so you need a level of fitness, other than that a passion for gardening and/or conservation will do just fine! Training on the tools and PPE is provided.
In order to volunteer with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust you will need to sign up to our online volunteer portal.
