Summary
Seeking people with a legal or financial background, or health & social care experience who are interested in helping people with disabilities to move forwardDetailed description
Gloucestershire Disability Fund is a Registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee. We are a grant-giving charity whose purpose is to support people living with a physical, sensory or learning disability living in Gloucestershire by helping them through life's challenges. Our Team of Trustees, some of whom have a disability, aim to award around £170,000 in grants each year to individuals and organisations.
We are looking for people with experience of or an interest in disability who have time to attend our meetings and who are able to contribute to our discussions and debates when considering grant applications and reviewing our grant programmes.
There will also be opportunities to take on further responsibilities at a later date, if you wish.
All our meetings last 2 - 3 hours and are held during the daytime in Gloucester with the exception of our annual Strategic Review which lasts all day and is generally held elsewhere. Our Grants Committee meets monthly in the afternoon. In addition, our Committee of Management meets quarterly in the morning.
For further information about us, please see our website.
