GL3 Community Hub is a charity in Churchdown managed by a Board of Trustees and supported by staff and volunteers. We offer education, social connection, and leisure activities for all.
We are seeking new Trustees with expertise in accounts, finance & budgeting, HR, health and safety, or marketing to join our Board and help achieve our charitable goals.
Trustee Duties:
· Attend quarterly meetings and contribute to discussions and decisions.
· Ensure GL3 Hub’s compliance and sound administration.
· Review and approve financial statements.
· Respond promptly to emails when required.
· Act independently, lawfully, and in GL3 Hub’s best interests.
· Promote the charity’s aims and reputation.
· Occasionally participate beyond meetings, such as reviewing papers, advising on initiatives, presenting externally, or assisting at events.
Skills Required:
· Willingness to accept Trustee responsibilities and act in the charity's interest.
· Creative, strategic thinking and good judgement.
· Strong communication and active participation.
· Commitment to an equal, inclusive, and diverse environment.
· Enthusiasm for GL3 Hub’s vision.
Terms:
· Three-year term, renewable up to nine years.
· Voluntary role.
· Must attend quarterly meetings (2-3 hours each).
· DBS check required.

About GL3 Community Hub
Located on Cheltenham Road East, opposite Tesco, the GL3 Community Hub is a vibrant, welcoming space at the heart of the Churchdown community. As a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, the Hub is managed by a dedicated Board of Trustees, supported by a small team of paid staff and a passionate group of volunteers.
Originally established as a County Council Youth Centre, the Hub has grown into a dynamic facility rooted in the Churchdown Neighbourhood Partnership, which began in the 1990s. Today, it thrives as a hub for education, social connection, and leisure, offering something for everyone.
