Summary
From mowing lawns, to weeding, to cutting hedges and growing vegetables we are looking for eager volunteers who want to make a difference to our green spaces.Detailed description
GL11 Community Hub has always been proud of its garden and play areas and, with a number of different exterior sections, there is always a lot of maintenance and up-keep required. From mowing lawns, to weeding, to cutting hedges and growing vegetables we are looking for eager volunteers who want to make a difference to our green spaces. No experience necessary as training and supervision is provided.
Personal qualities and experience:
- Hard working and proud of their work
- An understanding of gardening techniques and plant knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Confident and happy to take the initiative.
- Good team member.
- Safety-conscious.
- An understanding of the safe use of gardening tools.
- Reliability is key. Volunteers must be willing to work within guidelines and always follow confidentiality policies.
