Summary

We are looking for a Treasurer to join our Committee and support our small Charity in this key role.

Detailed description

FOREST TALK - TALKING NEWSPAPER FOR THE BLIND IN THE FOREST OF DEAN

FOREST TALK has supported the blind and partially sighted community in the Forest of

Dean since 1984 with a talking version of the local newspapers, The Forester and the Review plus a good selection of magazine articles. This goes out weekly to our listeners via wallets and free postage under the entitlement of Articles for the Blind. We have a volunteer base of some 30 readers who support four teams, one team at each

Saturday morning recording from Bream.

Our Treasurer has given us many years wonderful service but retired at our AGM in July. He is now standing in as temporary treasurer until a new treasurer can be found.

He will guide the new volunteer through the introductory stages and will help whenever he can.

The best qualification will be enthusiasm and a good working knowledge of book-keeping, and experience of a small charity, with all that entails.

If you have an interest in supporting Forest Talk as Treasurer, please contact us for further information.

With many thanks for your interest
